Below are our four quality tiers for rough crystal specimens:
1. Collector AAA (Top Collectible Grade)
Near-flawless natural rough crystals with high glassy transparency. Only tiny natural inclusions visible under close inspection. Vivid, evenly distributed color without dull or faded patches. Fully intact crystal faces and sharp, undamaged termination points. No through cracks, big chips or deep pits. Minimal host rock attached. Perfect for crystal collectors, premium home display and high-frequency healing work.
2. Premium AA (Most Popular Mid-High Grade)
Great overall clarity with sparse, faint natural veils or tiny internal marks, no heavy cloudiness. Rich, consistent color with barely noticeable uneven tones. Complete crystal shapes with only micro-sized natural surface nicks; points stay intact with minor light wear. Small amount of matrix attached without covering the crystal body. The best balanced option for daily meditation, home decor and crystal lovers.
3. Standard A (Beginner Everyday Grade)
Moderate visible natural inclusions, light cloudiness and small internal fractures. Soft or slightly uneven color, occasional dull areas. Noticeable minor chips and worn crystal points, no large broken sections. Moderate host rock attached to the stone. Ideal for new crystal practitioners, daily meditation, DIY crafts and affordable bulk use.
4. Entry Commercial (Budget Bulk Grade)
Low transparency with heavy cloudiness, abundant internal fractures and obvious large inclusions. Dull, washed-out, patchy uneven color. Blunted worn points, multiple chips and shallow surface cracks. Large sections of host rock covering the crystal. Budget-friendly bulk stones for tumbling, craft projects and casual practice.
Size & Weight Note
Our crystal grading system reflects crystal quality only, judged by clarity, color, crystal shape and natural flaws. Weight and physical size are separate pricing factors and do not affect quality grades. Two stones of the same grade can come in different weights; larger specimens will be priced higher accordingly.
Important Natural Crystal Disclaimer
All crystals are natural raw minerals. Tiny natural veils, micro mineral needles, small natural pits and subtle internal marks are formation features, not damage. Only prominent through cracks, big chips, heavy fogging and massive matrix coverage will lower a crystal’s grade.
Special specimens with unique desirable inclusions (phantom quartz, rutile, garden crystals) are valued separately and will not be downgraded for minor basic inclusions.
